Sponsorship Intern ABOUT The Georgia Swarm Professional Lacrosse Organization is an esteemed member of the National Lacrosse League and the leading box lacrosse team in the greater Atlanta region. Our front office is based in Duluth, GA, and our games take place at the Gas South Arena.
EXPECTATIONS: Please note that this is an unpaid internship which may be leveraged as appropriate for post-secondary course credit. This is a comprehensive and hands on role. It provides excellent experience in sporting events, customer service, and true professional grooming. Our work environment is fast paced and energetic, so we're looking for someone with positivity, a great sense of urgency and a quick learner and thinker. This internship provides exposure to the Atlanta sports business community to make connections and insights into a growing team in the sports industry in metro Atlanta. We pride ourselves on providing the opportunity for a truly motivated individual to leave this role fully ready to launch their career.
The intern will be responsible for assisting the Swarm front office staff in game day set-up, in-game promotions on-field. A requirement is frequently working early, late, and on the weekend for games. The intern will also have individual daily and weekly responsibilities.
POSITION DUTIES: - Compile all items needed from sponsors to execute contractual obligations (in-game activations, photo's and video, logo's, etc.)
- Record, deliver, and monitor sold versus unsold sponsorship inventory
- Help develop sponsorship sales ideas to pitch to prospects with digital deck and presentations
- Fulfill contractual deliverables and elements of sold sponsorships
- Be a key part of mid-season and end of season sponsorship recaps
- Assist the Swarm Sponsorship Manager with Game Day sponsor duties
- Other roles and responsibilities may be required
REQUIREMENTS: - Must be able to work weekends as required
- Able to commit and work the entire 2024-2025 NLL season
- Able to work under pressure and in stressful situations in a timely manner
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills, and attention to client satisfaction
- Strong professional leadership attitude
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Office)
- Ability to communicate and work well with Management
- Ability to work individually (with little supervision), as well as part of a team
- Must be able to follow directions with little guidance or specific direction depending given tasks, respond to management direction, and treat people professionally and with respect at all times
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS: - Must possess the ability to work a flexible schedule that includes long and odd hours. Ability to lift, push or pull up to 50lbs and stand on feet for long periods of time and at times working in an extremely loud environment.
