Payment Processor

Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking an organized, detail oriented Payment Processor to join our client in Fishers, IN! As the Payment Processor, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely daily processing of customer mortgage payments to the servicing system, collaborating with business units to ensure compliance with company guidelines and processes. This is a temporary opportunity offering $18/hour!

Responsibilities of the Payment Processor Include:

• Accurately and timely post customer payments and payoffs, reconcile posted items, and handle checks and disbursements.
• Set up and maintain ACH accounts, manage pending and exception items, and process daily exception reports to minimize risk.
• Maintain and reverse posting transactions, scan payments into the servicing system and bank, and process mail and Cash Management items.
• Conduct data analysis, reconciliation, and root cause analysis to minimize risk, making fact-based decisions within authority.
• Demonstrate punctual attendance, comply with policies, adjust quickly, and perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements of the Payment Processor:

• High school diploma or GED required; vocational/technical certificate or associate/bachelor's degree preferred.
• 0-1 years of related work experience required; 2-4 years preferred, with Sagent and LoanServ experience being a plus.
• Preferred skills in accounting and mathematics, including basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Data entry experience with an emphasis on speed and accuracy.
• Intermediate Excel skills with the ability to manipulate data.
