General Summary Increase the enrollment of students in the university's online programs by implementing recruitment strategies and providing comprehensive support throughout the enrollment process. Actively engage with prospective students and stakeholders through recruitment events, one-on-one meetings, and email/phone/text outreach.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities - Professionally represent EMU throughout the recruitment and enrollment process.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of academic offerings, admission requirements, and enrollment trends.
- Guide incoming students and other stakeholders on the enrollment process, ensuring a seamless experience from inquiry to enrolled.
- Resolve student issues and assist in finding timely solutions.
- Utilize proactive outreach strategies to build strong working relationships with prospective students.
- Respond promptly to all emails, text messages, live chat inquiries, and phone calls, aiming for a 24 business-hour response time.
- Update CRM records to reflect incoming and outgoing communications as well as enrollment status.
- Utilize data to analyze the effectiveness of recruitment efforts and make continuous improvements.
- Craft engaging and effective outreach to communicate with prospective students.
- Partner with the Director of Enrollment Technology and the Assistant Director of Admissions Processing to ensure all applications are being completed and processed in a timely manner.
- Travel and represent EMU at various college fairs, career fairs, corporate partnership meetings, school district meetings, or other recruitment opportunities.
- Work with a variety of offices such as Athletics, Communications & Marketing, DEI, Academic Affairs, Academic Advising, Career Services, Student Affairs, Veterans Affairs, Registrar, Bursar, and Financial Aid to ensure enrollment goals are met.
Minimum Qualifications: Knowledge and skills in organization, administration, marketing, problem-solving, and planning are typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree in a related field.
Possession of a valid driver's license.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing is required.
Familiarity with computers and current software systems is expected.
One year of admissions or higher education-related work experience is required.
Preferred Qualifications: Masters degree in a related field preferred.
Knowledge of EMU's academic programs.
