Key Responsibilities:

- Underwrite and make decisions on various types of residential mortgage loans, including Conventional, Jumbo, FHA, and VA.
- Review and verify financial documents and ensure loan files are complete with all necessary credit and legal documents.
- Analyze appraisal reports and resolve any discrepancies to ensure accurate valuations.
- Conduct thorough assessments of applicant income, expenses, assets, credit reports, and property valuations to confirm loan eligibility.
- Calculate qualifying ratios and assess creditworthiness, providing thoughtful risk assessments and opinions.

What We're Looking For:

- Experience underwriting VA, FHA, Conventional, and Jumbo loans.
- At least 4 years of underwriting experience, with a strong preference for those with experience in FNMA, FHLMC, and Non-Conforming mortgages.
- Familiarity with Desktop Underwriter (DU) and Loan Prospector/Loan Product Advisor (LP/LPA).
- Solid understanding of the mortgage lending process and the ability to perform necessary loan calculations (DTI, LTV, etc.).
- Skilled in preparing findings reports and handling multiple files efficiently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative approach to working in a team environment.
- A proactive mindset with a desire to continuously grow and evolve in the field.
