Job Description

Assists in preparation, service and storage of food, cleans and maintains sanitary conditions in all Dietary areas. Assists in the accurate preparation and service of foods. May assist in special activities as requested.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Prior experience in cafeteria setting preferred. Ability to work with a variety of people. Must have strong customer service skills and be able to perform duties efficiently.

•Record dish machine temperatures.

•Maintains food cart cleaning log.

•Supports the NCMH Guest Relations program emphasis of team spirit and communication to ensure quality of care and human dignity at the hospital.

•Dispenses food for patient and employee meals and activities.

•Maintains assigned department areas in clean, neat and sanitary manner.

•Transports and stores food and supplies properly to maintain the foods' quality.

•Provides clerical support as needed.

•Contributes to the productivity and cost effectiveness of the department.

•Maintains safety and sanitation standards of department to ensure quality of food.

•Operates and cleans equipment in a safe manner.

•Works effectively with others.

•Willingness to work under supervision; willing to assume responsibility for the supervision of others.

•Conforms to established dress code policy. Always neat and in appropriate business attire.
