NV is a multi-line marine dealer selling 20 different brands encompassing everything from small inflatable tenders up to Yachts. NV has a broad and expansive selection of boats from your everyday Center console boats to you mid-sized Yacht to cruise the Caribbean. The Sales Consultant is responsible for selling boats through consistent customer follow-up and prospecting. Responsibilities include working with the customer, timeliness/accuracy of paperwork and completeness of delivery. Achieve weekly, monthly and/or quarterly sales goals. You will generate boat/yacht sales through identifying prospective buyers and sellers, establish and nurture client relationships by providing them with informed product knowledge, and manage the entire boat/yacht sales process from start to finish with professionalism, enthusiasm, and creative spirit. You will actively participate in NVG sponsored events and marketing campaigns.
Responsibilities: - Acquire full knowledge of the complete product line, features and accessories available for purchase.
- Show product in the showroom, at off-site displays or shows, and demonstrate boats on the water.
- Oversee the delivery of each unit sold.
- Introduce customers to the dealership team to emphasize the quality and efficiency of dealership's service operations.
- Professionally lead and support customer events including demo days.
- Actively participate in boat shows and other off-site promotions.
- Project a professional and knowledgeable image at all times.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 3 years selling boats or marine industry products.
- Experience working in the boat industry for 3 years and ability to show prior sales excellence.
- Language Skills - Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operations and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to speak English effectively to customers and/or employees of organization.
- Ability to follow proper CRM sales leads and computer proficiency.
- Dockmaster experience is a plus.
