Job Title: Endoscopy Registered Nurse 
Duration: 3+Months (Extendable)
Work Location: Dallas, Denton, Plano, TX
Shift Timing: (Morning)

Pay: $1600 - $1800 weekly

Requirement: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, AHA PALS, Active RN license.

Job Description:

• Prepare patients for endoscopic procedures, including explaining the procedure, obtaining consent, and ensuring patients understand pre-procedure instructions.
• Assess patients' medical histories, allergies, and current medications to ensure they are ready for the procedure.
• Monitor patients' vital signs before, during, and after endoscopic procedures.
• Assess patients for any adverse reactions to medications or procedures and take appropriate action if necessary.
• Assist the gastroenterologist or endoscopist during procedures such as colonoscopies, upper endoscopies (EGDs), sigmoidoscopies, and other diagnostic or therapeutic endoscopic procedures.
• Hand instruments and supplies to the physician and ensure a sterile field is maintained.
• Administer sedatives and analgesics as ordered by the physician to ensure patient comfort during the procedure.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions to medications and provide appropriate interventions.
• Provide post-procedure care, including monitoring patients as they recover from sedation.
• Educate patients and their families about post-procedure care, potential complications, and follow-up instructions
• Accurately document all aspects of patient care, including pre-procedure assessments, medications administered, procedure details, and post-procedure observations.
• Report any significant changes in patients' conditions to the physician or healthcare team.
• Adhere to strict infection control protocols to prevent the transmission of infections.
• Ensure all equipment is properly cleaned and sterilized before and after procedures.
• Educate patients about the importance of endoscopic procedures, potential risks, and benefits.
• Provide emotional support to patients and their families, addressing any concerns or anxieties they may have.
• Set up, calibrate, and troubleshoot endoscopic equipment to ensure it is functioning properly.
• Assist in maintaining inventory and ordering supplies as needed.
• Work collaboratively with gastroenterologists, anesthesiologists, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of care plans.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and procedural outcomes.
• Engage in continuing education and training to stay current with advancements in endoscopic techniques and best practices.

Requirements: 2 years of recent experience.

Education: BLS, ACLS, TNCC all required
