Essential Functions
Conducts presentations on scholastic dishonesty and the student conduct process during classroom presentations and departmental/program orientation sessions.
Assists in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of campus programs and activities, leadership development, and implementation of new initiatives in the Division of Student Affairs.
Investigates, hears, and adjudicates cases of student misconduct and scholastic dishonesty and makes recommendations that conform to university policies.
Reviews and interprets the University Housing policies and guidelines, the UTEP Handbook of Operating Procedures, and the UT System Regents’ Rule and Regulations to ensure all students are afforded due process.
Maintains an awareness of Title IX of the Educational Amendments Act of 1972 as amended by the Civil Rights Restoration Act of 1987 and its’ requirements regarding student conduct cases.
Serves and represents the University in formal conduct hearings.
Assists in the training of Residence Life Coordinators regarding student conduct protocol.
Assists with compiling annual reports including, but not limited to: Student Conduct and Clery reports.
Knowledge of all Microsoft Office software and able to learn and use institutional software systems.
Complies with all State and University policies.
Other duties may be assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities Supervises the student workers of the department.

Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree
and
Experience: One year of experience, related to the statement of duties and responsibilities; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to work with and relate to students, faculty, and staff in a multicultural environment.
