To learn more about Visante, please visit: ABOUT THE POSITION Visante is currently looking for a Consultant Pharmacist whose primary responsibilities will be to engage in projects focused in any area of health system pharmacy. Experience in ambulatory pharmacy, 340B, and/or specialty pharmacy is preferred. The Consultant will work with the hospital and health system team to achieve excellence on all client projects. Work will be done both at the client site and remotely. This individual will help create an energizing team environment and bring an ownership mentality to their daily work.
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES - Provide comprehensive on-site and remote support for leading client engagements and achieve project deliverables
- Coordinate overall project delivery to meet project objectives and client expectations
- Work with others to establish overall project direction
- Plan and manage distinct segments of work
- Drive change and assist with implementation of solutions with clients
- Build strong relationships with client team members
- Diagnose client problems and develop effective solutions
- Contribute to the advancement of Visante’s capabilities through policy, procedure, template, or standard work development
- Prepare high-quality deliverables for clients
Depending on the work environment, our successful candidate may be an active participant in a workgroup that requires specialized knowledge. As a subject matter expert, they will function as the organizational ambassador for their knowledge area, applying their expertise to support the client’s vision and strategic direction. The consultant Pharmacist will provide guidance on how their area of capability can resolve an organizational need.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Support project management, analytics, deliverable creation, meeting facilitation, and presentations to clients, and develop an area of subject matter expertise
- Consult with clients to learn current workflows and configurations, and understand the client’s challenges to identify problems and implement solutions
- Provide expertise and support to clients related to many areas of pharmacy, including but not limited to:
- Operations and automation
- Specialty pharmacy
- Consolidated pharmacy service centers
- Pharmacy benefit management
- Pharmacy supply chain
- Pharmacy revenue cycle
- 340B optimization
- Ambulatory strategy
- Serve in short-term onsite leader roles for key clients from time to time, as necessary
- Lead internal project meetings and select client meetings
- Oversee day-to-day project delivery and client/project/team management
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships and partnerships with clients and team
- Consult with clients on current workflows and configurations and manage multiple projects effectively
- Act as a liaison between clients and internal team and actively contribute to the team in assigned areas
- Troubleshoot, develop and execute plans, work to resolve issues, and propose possible alternate strategies when necessary
- Identify and map out schedules, milestones, and required resources to meet the project objectives
- Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis to drive the proposed solutions
- Create effective presentations that consolidate findings from analyses and present solutions to client
- Develop and present a plan to implement recommended changes
- Deliver project results on time, on budget, and within project scope that meets and/or exceeds client expectations
- Provide support as requested regarding related project work as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS The following relevant education is required: - A PharmD or bachelor’s degree in pharmacy is required
- Relevant advanced degree (e.g., MS, MBA, MPH, MHA) is preferred
- At least 5 years of experience working in health system pharmacy, including 3+ years in managing others and overseeing operational initiatives or completion of a HSPAL residency training program

- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines under pressure
- A high degree of emotional intelligence to effectively deal with diverse clients and team members
- Intellectual curiosity and a strong desire to continue to grow professionally
- Confidence and maturity to work with senior executives, utilizing clear and concise verbal and written communication
- Highly collaborative with a strong team orientation, able to plan and achieve large-scale change through teamwork
- High level of accountability and flexibility and willing to receive and give constructive feedback
- Ability to make sound, timely decisions based on analysis, experience, and judgment
- Excellent knowledge and proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Ability to travel to domestic locations
We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package for this remote, work-from-home, full-time salaried role. The position requires up to 50% travel over the course of a calendar year.
