WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT - Enhanced virtual nursing program.
- Nursing Process Identifies and prioritizes nursing care needs for select patients. Conducts comprehensive, holistic wellness and illness assessments. Evaluates the impact of nursing interventions on patient outcomes.
- Ethics Provides consultations on risks, benefits, and outcomes of healthcare regimens to promote informed decision-making. Advocates on healthcare practices for safety and quality improvement.
- Education Assists staff in developing critical thinking and clinical judgment. Collaborates with Clinical Educators on content and operational design of orientation, clinical competency, and other clinical education developmen
- Evidence Base Practice, Research, Resource Utilization Serves as a reliable source of information on the latest evidence. Leads in the conduct and utilization of nursing research, evidence-based practice and process improvement. Develops, pilots, evaluates, and incorporates innovative models of practice. Participates in need identification, selection and evaluation of products and equipment.
- Quality and Evaluation of Practice Establishes methods to evaluate and document nursing interventions. Evaluates the impact of nursing interventions on fiscal and human resources. Identifies facilitators and addresses barriers that affect patient outcomes. Designs and evaluates programs and initiatives that are congruent with the organization's strategic plans, regulatory agency requirements, and nursing standards.
- Professional Performance Collaborates with the interdisciplinary teams to integrate the nursing perspective into a comprehensive plan of care. Leads program implementation and evaluation through identification, collection, and analysis of relevant data. Collaborates with others to resolve issues related to client care. Collaborates with nurses to develop practice environments that support shared decision-making.
- Environmental Health Creates an environment that stimulates continuous self-learning, reflective practice, and demonstration of responsibility and accountability. Practices in an environmentally safe and healthy manner.

QUALIFICATIONS - Required- Master's Degree-Clinical focus program as a CNS
- Required- 3 years Clinical area of expertise
- Require within 90 days- Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association
- Required- Registered Nurse (RN) License
- As Required by Unit- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association
- Required- Post-Master's Degree Certified Nurse Specialist certificate, if MSN was not focused on the application of the CNS role
