Duties

To conduct business requirements reviews, technical systems specifications and systems process analysis. To develop detailed selection evaluation criteria. To analyze and re-engineer business processes using industry standard tools and methods with understanding of the technical and business environments. To partner with business process experts to learn and understand problems with software. To develop innovative IT solutions for risky and demanding business situations.

Key Job Duties/Responsibilities:

* Build, test, and troubleshoot assigned applications.

* Assess and work change request assignments.

* Research options for customer workflow needs.

* Assist with system maintenance related to assigned applications.

* On-call customer support for assigned Clinical Applications call group.

* Identify, recommend, and initiate process improvement ideas.

Qualifications

Associate's degree in Information Systems or a related field and four (4) years of related experience required. Work experience may substitute for education requirement.

  • Ability to easily understand technical systems.

  • Able to develop options and recommendations on optimal use of clinical systems in both inpatient and ambulatory settings.

  • Able to quickly resolve operational problems and questions and minimize the impact on end-user productivity.
  • Identifies issues and concerns and communicates to the appropriate next level.
  • Provides training support and problem resolution to customers based on the functional capabilities of the clinical system.
  • Cerner Orders build experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in Cerner systems.
