This position is responsible for the protection of Company assets and the customers we serve.Implement established processes and controls that provide a safe working and shopping environment, reduce exposures to loss and improve profitability throughout our Dining and Retail business lines.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Provide First Class Service to all customers, employees and business partners and assist in providing a respectful working environment for everyone
- Conduct daily store walk-throughs to increase associate awareness and partnerships, celebrate successes, and identify training opportunities, policy violations, and acts of associate dishonesty
- Conduct training in all aspects of Asset Protection and Safety, including department-specific onboarding for all new associates
- Attend and participate in all platform leadership meetings and share shrink trends, audit results, training opportunities and successes
- Monitor and investigate all Cash Over/Short notifications including deposit variance notifications and suspicious chargebacks from our bank
- Monitor functionality of all camera systems and report and resolve outage issues in a timely manner
- Conduct weekly and monthly compliance and safety audits to determine potential risk areas and assist in training and implementing company approved processes and policies
- Maintain all Asset Protection and Safety awareness programs in the location
- Provide partnership, investigate, and assist in resolving the root cause for all Workers Comp and General Liability claim
- Lead Internal and External theft investigations utilizing (EBR) Exception Based Reporting, video review, interviews, inventory and food cost analytics, and employee relations
- Leverage partnerships and foster relationships with local law enforcement, prosecutors and community leaders to facilitate successful deterrence and prosecutions
- Review and assist in weekly F&B inventories
- Review the monthly P&L, Power BI and SAP reports to determine potential areas of loss
- Lead the preparation, physical count, and reconciliation of the yearly retail physical inventory process
- Maintain functionality and controls of all keys, safes, and alarm panels including removing and changing accesses as needed
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: - Ability to work flexible shifts in a 7/365-day team-oriented environment
- Ability to communicate (orally and written) effectively using the English language
- Be able to demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills; possess Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint)
- Understand, implement, and utilize exception-based reporting software, such as Appriss, Aspect or XBR
- Wicklander-Zulawski (W-Z) or Reid interview technique certification
- Possess the ability to analyze and investigate inventory shortages; determine causes, and actively participate in initiatives to resolve and correct issues
- Foster a work environment that inspires trust, respect, professionalism, and teamwork to achieve goals
- Be able to actively investigate all concerns related to losses and criminal activity to determine the facts, conduct interviews with all parties involved and resolve matters of loss
- Possess analytical skills sufficient to conduct applicable research to determine the relevance of information and interpret its meaning, while arriving at accurate conclusions
- Use financial analysis skills sufficient to interpret operating statements and other financial data
- Be able to organize and prioritize multiple tasks in a demanding and continuously evolving environment
- Possess a thorough knowledge of legal ramifications and procedures regarding the Asset Protection, Loss Prevention and Safety industries

- Ability to pass the Federal Criminal History Records Check, the Paradies Lagardre background check and the applicable Department of Transportation Badging and Access requirements
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: - Bachelor's degree or 5 years of relevant Asset Protection, Safety, and Investigative experience in lieu of a degree.
- Progressive management experience in Retail /Foodservice Asset Protection and Safety.
- Minimum of 3 years retail and or food and beverage Asset Protection, Safety, and Investigative experience.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: - Standing or sitting for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs., and perform essential job functions such as standing, bending, reaching, climbing a ladder, and walking long distances
- Work Environment:Retail stores, restaurants, warehouses, or office environments
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS - Willingness and ability to travel occasionally by air and/or car, with overnight stays whenever the business dictates.
